Case Study: Nelson-Jameson
The 45,000-square-foot facility is situated on 19 acres of land and encompasses about 1.5 million cubic feet of combined storage, office space, refrigerated storage areas and a service and maintenance area, the company detailed in an April 2024 news release.
The DC features embedded energy-saving features that include insulated concrete tilt wall panels, LED lighting and occupancy sensors, high-efficiency HVAC systems and electronically-controlled warehouse ventilation.
The new facility is a relocation of Nelson-Jameson’s former Twin Falls, ID location. The company broke ground on the facility in September, 2022. At that time, the company shared that it had plans for a three-phase expansion in Jerome, with phase I as a 45,000-square-foot facility, followed by a Phase II facility of that same size, and a 10,000-SF Phase III facility.
